The spring came, the sun is shining more than ever here in SF and it was about time to finally meet the Conservatory of Flowers inside Golden Gate Park.
This place is already beautiful from outside. Sculptures, huge palm trees, a beautiful garden and the greenhouse architecture with stained glass make the picture perfect.
The Conservatory is the oldest in North America! It has 4 different galleries - potted plants, lowland tropics, highland tropics and aquatic plants - but it isn't a really big place, an hour or so you can walk through everything, which is a good point because Golden Gate Park has a lots of attractions to see. My favorite thing was look closely to the carnivorous plants, they have really big ones that I've never seen something like it before.
Have a camera on hand? Great! You'll probably take some photos of the plants and flowers but my golden tip is: select the Macro mode and discover how insanely detailed they are. 😱
